Serena Williams Caught Cheating

1 min read

Serena Williams was given a code violation when the umpire seen her coach Patrick Mouratoglou making hand gestures to her.
In tennis Gran Slam matches this is not allowed and is called “coaching”.
Coaches are not allowed to say or suggest anything to players in these tournaments.

After having her serve broken, Serena smashes her racket on court and gets a penalty for racquet abuse and a loses a point for the second violation.

Serena then went on an abusive tirade on the umpire calling him a thief, liar and demanding an apology.
She also said ‘You’ll never sit on a court with me as long as you live!’.
I was never aware that players could choose their umpire.

This gets a third violation for verbal abuse and a loses a game.
She has already lost the first set 6-2, and after the game penalty was down 4-6 losing the match that would’ve most likely been lost if Osaka went on to serve.

After the match Williams continued her tirade which turned sexist.

Video footage clearly shows that the umpire was correct in his calls.
And Serena Williams was outplayed by Osaka.
