NSW Labor Party Shoehorns Women
1 min readThe NSW Labor party has endorsed a plan to place women number quotas on themselves.
Of course this comes straight after a staffer applied for an apprehended violence order (AVO) against New South Wales Labor Party general-secretary Jamie Clement after having a relationship with him in 2013.
New South Wales Labor leader Luke Foley denied this was an attempt to reverse damage that the police investigation may have done to the party’s reputation.
Clement was accused of pushing Labor staffer Stefanie Jones against a wall and trying to kiss her.
Even though he stated “While I have done nothing wrong, I have made the decision in the best interests of the party and my family,” and the AVO was dropped, Clement was forced out by Foley and Shorten.
